Ökologisches Handeln und Schwellenwerte: Ergebnisse einer Studie zum Recycling-Verhalten

Ecological action and threshold values: results of a study on recycling behavior
[journal article]

Abstract

(Autorenreferat)... view less

'This paper presents Granovetter's threshold model concerning binary decisions in which a person's choice depends on how others have chosen before. Examples of typical sociological applications of this model are mentioned, its link to Rational Choice Theory is shown and its integration into a micro-macro-model proposed by Coleman is demonstrated. The results of a survey of environmental behaviour (recycling of glass into a public container) are presented and discussed. Problems of operationalization and measurement proposals of thresholds are discussed.' (author's abstract)|... view less
