Das Teilprojekt "Ostdeutsche Lebensverläufe im Transformationsprozess (LV-Ost)" der Deutschen Lebensverlaufsstudie

Abstract

'Mit den Daten des Teilprojekts 'Ostdeutsche Lebensverläufe im Transformationsprozess (LV-Ost)' können die Folgen der ostdeutschen Transformation für die Lebensverläufe der DDR-Geburtskohorten 1929-31, 1939-41, 1951-53 und 1959-61 sowie 1971 untersucht werden. Dieses Teilprojekt ist integraler Bestandteil des umfassenderen Forschungsvorhabens 'Lebensverläufe und gesellschaftlicher Wandel', aus dem unter der Leitung von Karl Ulrich Mayer die Deutsche Lebensverlaufsstudie (German Life History Study, GLHS) hervorgegangen ist. Im Teilprojekt LV-Ost-Panel (ZA-Studiennummer 3925) konnten 1.407 Personen befragt werden, die bereits am Teilprojekt 'Lebensverläufe und historischer Wandel in der ehemaligen DDR (LV-DDR)' (ZA-Studiennummer 2644) teilgenommen hatten. Darüber hinaus wurden im Teilprojekt LV-Ost 71 (ZA-Studiennummer 3926) 610 Frauen und Männer der DDR-Geburtskohorte 1971 interviewt.' (Autorenreferat)

'Data collected in the research project 'East German Life Courses after Unification (LV-Ost)' enables investigation about the consequences of the East German transformation process on the life courses of the 1929-31, 1939-41, 1951-53 and 1959- 61 as well as 1971 cohorts. This study is part of the German Life History Study (GLHS) directed by Karl Ulrich Mayer at the Center for Sociology and the Study of the Life Course. In the study LV-Ost-Panel (ZA-study number 3925) we succeeded in re-interviewing 1.407 participants of the follow-up study of the former project 'Life Courses and Historical Change in the German Democratic Republic (LV-DDR)' (ZA-study number 2644). In addition, in the study LV-Ost 71 (ZA-study number 3926) 610 men and women who were born in 1971 were asked about their entire life.' (author's abstract)|
