Tagungsbericht: Körperwissen. Eine internationale und interdisziplinäre Tagung

Abstract

Gegenstand einer gemeinsamen Tagung der Sektionen Wissenssoziologie und Soziologie des Körpers und des Sports der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Soziologie waren verschiedene Dimensionen von Körperwissen: explizites und implizites, reflexives und inkorporiertes, Expert/innen- und Laienwissen. Anhand unterschiedlicher sozialer Felder (Schule, Medizin, Sport, Arbeit, Sexualität) wurde der Zusammenhang der Dimensionen erläutert und diskutiert. Des weiteren standen Möglichkeiten und Probleme einer theoretischen Konzeptualisierung des Zusammenhangs von Körperwissen und Körperpraxis im Fokus sowie Fragen des methodischen Zugangs zu vorreflexiven Körperpraxen. Die Tagung zeigte zum einen, dass die körpersoziologische Forschung in den letzten zehn Jahren einen deutlichen Aufschwung erfahren hat, zum anderen wurde deutlich, dass die zentralen Desiderate im Bereich von Theorie- und Methodenentwicklung liegen.

A conjoint congress of two sections of the German Sociological Association (Sociology of Knowledge and Sociology of the Body and Sports) met to explore the various dimensions of body knowledge: explicit and implicit, reflexive and incorporated, expert knowledge and knowledge of laypersons. Relating to different social fields (school, medicine, sports, work, and sexuality), it was explained and discussed how different dimensions of body knowledge are interrelated. An additional focus was on the scope and problems of theorizing the relation of body knowledge and body praxis and on methodological questions concerning how to get access to pre-reflexive body practices. The discussions revealed that research in the sociology of knowledge expanded significantly during the last ten years, and that improving its theorizing and methodologies are central concerns for the future.

Un congreso conjunto de dos secciones de la Asociación Sociológica Alemana (Sociología del Conocimiento y Sociología del Cuerpo y los Deportes) tuvo lugar para explorar las diversas dimensiones del conocimiento del cuerpo: lo explícito e implícito, lo reflexivo e incorporado, el conocimiento lego y el experto. Se explicó y discutió cómo se relacionan entre sí diferentes dimensiones del conocimiento del cuerpo en relación con diferentes campos sociales (escuela, medicina, deportes, trabajo y sexualidad). Un foco adicional de atención fue reflexionar sobre los alcances y problemas al teorizar la relación del conocimiento del cuerpo y su praxis con las cuestiones metodológicas sobre cómo obtener acceso a las prácticas pre-reflexivas del cuerpo. Las discusiones mostraron que la investigación en la sociología del conocimiento se ha ampliado significativamente durante los últimos diez años y que enriquecer su teorización y metodologías es preocupación central para el futuro.
