Im Beitrag wird die emanzipatorische Wirkung der von Dorothea Schlegel, Rahel Varnhagen und Henriette Herz geleiteten Berliner Salons im Übergang von der Aufklärung zur Frühromantik analysiert. Dabei geraten Salons als Orte des intellektuellen Austauschs und der gesellschaftlichen Emanzipation in den Blick, die aufklärerisches und romantisches Denken verbreiten. Die Autor*innen zeigen, dass die Salons entscheidend zur Popularisierung philosophischer Ideen und zur Entwicklung neuer Diskursformen beitrugen. Dabei diskutieren sie die Salonkultur als Brücke zwischen Aufklärung und Frühromantik und als Beitrag zur Emanzipation der Frau. Die Rolle dieser Frauen in der Philosophiegeschichte erfordert eine stärkere Berücksichtigung in der Geschichtsschreibung.... view less

This article analyses the emancipatory impact of salons organized in Berlin by Dorothea Schlegel, Rahel Varnhagen and Henriette Herz during the transition from the Enligh­tenment to early Romanticism. The authors shed light on salons as places of intellectual exchange and social emancipation, especially for dis­seminating Enlightenment and Romantic thought. They show that these salons played a crucial role in popularizing philosophical ideas and developing new forms of discourse. The authors discuss salon culture as a bridge between the Enlightenment and early Romanticism and its contribution to the emancipation of women. The role of these women in the history of philosophy deserves greater consideration in historiography.... view less
