In article it is investigated theoretical bases and practical aspects of management of recreational space of the modern city. Authors pay attention to need of use of innovative campaigns to development of city space, coming to a conclusion about inadmissibility of preservation of a state and degradation of his recreational space, need to provide satisfaction of the growing inquiries of citizens to quality and availability of recreational services. In article the category "recreational space" is investigated, the conclusion is drawn on need of transition from management recreational a zone to management of recreational space. In article examples of successful experience of St. Petersburg showing a basic possibility of innovative modernization of recreational space of the historic center of the city by renovation of unclaimed industrial facilities in modern innovative cultural and leisure, hotel, the business structures improving the general condition of recreational infrastructure of the city are also given. Also authors have analysed factors of innovative development of recreational space of the city from which the role of infrastructure and administrative factors is especially distinguished, the emphasis on need of transition at management of development city by space in general, and his recreational space in particular, from unicentric model, to polycentric, allowing to solve effectively existing problems of quality and availability of recreational space is placed.... weniger
