Abstract

Die praktische Arbeit in der psychoanalytischen Praxis ist ein Kernbestandteil des psychoanalytischen Wissenszuwachses. Dennoch ist sie ein dunkles Kapitel in der Forschungsgeschichte der Psychoanalyse. Was in der Praxis tatsächlich geschieht, wird selten erforscht. Das besprochene Buch von Andreas STRATKÖTTER macht die psychoanalytische Praxis zur empirischen Basis einer umfangreichen qualitativen Studie. Die interviewten Psychoanalytiker und Psychoanalytikerinnen stellen ihre Indikationskriterien, die Praxisrelevanz zentraler psychoanalytischer Konzepte und ihren beruflichen Werdegang nach der psychoanalytischen Ausbildung dar. Despite its importance it is a rather dark chapter in the research history of psychoanalysis and empirical research into what actually happens in practice has been rare.
