Tagungsbericht: Lesarten qualitativer Forschung – Methoden-Workshop

Abstract

Auf dem Workshop wurde das Verhältnis poststrukturalistischer und postmodernistischer Sozial- und Sprachtheorie zu theoretischen und methodologischen Positionen der interpretativen Soziologie, insbesondere der Biographieforschung diskutiert. Eine Reihe von ReferentInnen trugen methodologische Reflexionen aus Biographieforschung und Diskursanalyse bei, während andere die Ergebnisse der Anwendung diskursanalytischer und dekonstruktivistischer Positionen thematisierten. Insgesamt zeigte sich, dass die neuere (deutsche) Biographieforschung Aspekte dekonstruktivistischer Kritik bereits berücksichtigt. Über die Art und Weise, wie poststrukturalistische Ansätze bei konkreten empirischen Vorhaben zur Anwendung kommen kann, besteht noch weiterer Klärungsbedarf.

At the workshop, the relationship of poststructuralist and postmodernist social theory to the theoretical and methodological positions of interpretive sociology were discussed. A number of presentations contributed methodological reflections from biographical research and (Foucauldian) discourse analysis; others discussed results of the application of discourse analysis and deconstruction in empirical research. All in all, it seems that (German) biographical researchers have partly recognized and incorporated deconstructionist critique into their enquiries. The workshop has shown there is still a need for reflection on how poststructuralist strategies can inform empirical projects on a practical level.

En el taller se discutió la relación de la teoría social posmoderna y posestructuralista con las posiciones teórica y metodológica de la sociología interpretativa. Algunas ponencias contribuyeron con reflexiones metodológicas provenientes de la investigación biográfica y el análisis de discurso (Foucaultiano); mientras otras discutieron resultados de la aplicación del análisis del discurso y la deconstrucción en investigación emípírica. En general, pareciera como si los investigadores de tendencia biográfica en Alemania hubiesen reconocido e incorporado parcialmente la crítica deconstruccionista a sus indagaciones. El taller ha mostrado que aún existe necesidad de una reflexión sobre como las estrategias postestructuralistas pueden orientar proyectos empíricos en un nivel práctico.
