Die Analyse, Selbstreflexion und Gestaltung professioneller Arbeit als Gegenstand der Biografieforschung und anderer interpretativer Zugänge: eine Einführung in den Themenschwerpunkt

Abstract

Der Beitrag leitet in das Thema der Schwerpunktausgabe ein und skizziert unterschiedliche Möglichkeiten der Verknüpfung zwischen qualitativer Sozialforschung und Problemgegenständen professionellen Handelns. In der sozialwissenschaftlichen Biografieforschung nimmt die Beschäftigung mit professionsanalytischen Fragestellungen traditionell einen wichtigen Platz ein. In vielen Studien wird nach den Folgen professioneller Interventionen in die Lebensgeschichten von Klientinnen und Klienten gefragt, in anderen Untersuchungen geht es um den Zusammenhang zwischen den lebensgeschichtlichen Erfahrungs- und Deutungsstrukturen von Professionellen einerseits und den Besonderheiten ihres professionellen Handelns, ihrer Deutungen und Fallanalysen andererseits. Die Biografieforschung bietet ein besonderes Kritik- und Aufklärungspotenzial für die professionelle Praxis, wird häufig an "professional schools" vermittelt und durchgeführt und kann – zusammen mit anderen interpretativen Untersuchungsansätzen – zur Erkenntnisressource von (angehenden) Professionellen selbst werden: Durch die Aneignung entsprechender Forschungskompetenzen verändert sich ihr Blick auf die (eigene und fremde) Arbeit mit Klient(inn)en, und es entstehen Anregungen für eine veränderte Praxis. Im Themenschwerpunkt sind Aufsätze (und ein Interview) zu Voraussetzungen, Problemgegenständen und Folgen der Arbeit in unterschiedlichen professionellen Handlungsfeldern vertreten, in denen dieser Zusammenhang von Analyse, Selbstreflexion und Praxisgestaltung sichtbar wird. Die Aufsätze stammen von Autorinnen und Autoren verschiedener sozialwissenschaftlicher Disziplinen und basieren auf unterschiedlichen Analyseansätzen aus dem aktuellen Spektrum insbesondere der deutschsprachigen interpretativen Sozialforschung.

The article serves as an introduction into the subject matter of this thematic issue of FQS and deals with the question how problems of professional work can become a topic of qualitative research. Focusing on issues of professional work has had an important place in biographical research for a long time. The consequences of professional interventions for the life histories of clients have been at the center of many studies, but also the relationships between the structures of experience and interpretation of professionals, on the one hand, and the specific features of their practice and their case analyses, on the other hand. Biographical research provides an empirically grounded critique and "enlightenment" of professional practice. It is often taught and practiced at professional schools, and (future) professionals can use it as a resource for discovery and understanding themselves—together with other interpretative approaches. By acquiring such research competencies they learn to look at their own practice with clients and the practice of others in a different way and they get ideas how to do things differently. The contributions to this thematic issue focus on preconditions, problems and consequences of professional work in different fields and illuminate the connection of the analysis of practice, professionals' self-reflection and their way of doing things. The articles were written by authors who belong to different disciplines in the social sciences and they are based on different approaches within the current spectrum of interpretative social research.

Este artículo es una introducción a la materia de este volumen temático de FQS que aborda la pregunta de cómo los problemas del trabajo profesional pueden ser tratados como tema para la investigación cualitativa. La investigación biográfica se ha enfocado en los temas del trabajo profesional por largo tiempo. Las consecuencias de las intervenciones profesionales para las historias de vida de los clientes han sido el centro de muchos estudios, por un lado, las relaciones entre las estructuras de la experiencia e interpretación de los profesionales y, por el otro, los rasgos específicos de su práctica y análisis de sus casos. La investigación biográfica brinda una crítica fundada empíricamente y una "ilustración" de la práctica profesional, se enseña y practica en las escuelas profesionales, y los (futuros) profesionistas pueden usarla como un recurso para descubrir y comprenderse a sí mismos, al lado de otros enfoques interpretativos. Al adquirir tales competencias de investigación, aprenden a mirar sus propias prácticas con clientes y la práctica de otros de una manera diferente y logran ideas para pensar en forma diferente. Las contribuciones en este volumen temático se enfocan sobre las precondiciones, problemas y consecuencias del trabajo profesional en diferentes campos e iluminan la conexión del análisis de la práctica, la autorreflexión de los profesionales y sus formas de trabajo. Los artículos fueron escritos por autores de diferentes disciplinas de las ciencias sociales y se fundamentan en diferentes enfoques dentro del espectro contemporáneo de la investigación social interpretativa.
