| Abstract | Na prática científica, não existe a imagem pela imagem. A imagem é sempre considerada um processo, o resultado de uma teoria ou a representação de um raciocínio ou modelo. Neste artigo introduzirei a discussão sobre o funcionamento de imagens em uma obra de popularização das ciências. A obra analisada é a edição de 1955 do livro Astronomie Populaire de Camille Flammarion. Este estudo preliminar indica um funcionamento de ilustração e de demonstração da prova do "fazer ciências". In scientific practice, there is not the image for the image. The image is always respected a process, the result of a theory or the representation of a reasoning or model. In this article I will introduce the discussion on the functioning of images in a work of popularization of the sciences. The publication of 1955 of the book Astronomie Populaire of Camille Flammarion is the object of analysis. This preliminary study indicates a functioning of illustration and of demonstration of the proof of "to do sciences." |
