Imagens didáticas do índio na Coleção História & Vida

Abstract

Na construção das primeiras imagens sobre os mais diversos temas históricos é impossível ignorar o papel desempenhado pela tríade escola, livro didático e professor. Embora saibamos, por exemplo, que a mídia, por meio de filmes, novelas, séries e documentários, influencie nas interpretações das pessoas sobre os conteúdos históricos, a História ensinada nos tempos escolares continua a assumir destaque na formação da idéia de história presente na mente da maioria da população. Neste sentido, o presente artigo procura analisar as representações dos povos indígenas produzidas pela Coleção História & Vida, de autoria de Nelson e Claudino Pilleti, adotada pelos alunos do ensino fundamental durante os anos 1980 e 1990 no Brasil. Nosso objetivo é perceber a presença de certas tipologias, padrões e este-reótipos na constituição da narrativa da história e identidade dos índios no discurso didático.

In the construction of the first images on the most diverse historical subjects it is impossible to ignore the role played for the triad school, didactic book and teacher. Although we knew, for example, that the media, through films, soap opera, series and sets of documents, influences in the interpretations of the people on the historical contents, the History taught in the school times continues to assume prominence in the formation of the idea of history present in the mind of the majority of the popula-tion. In this direction, the present article intends to analyze the representations of the Indian Nation produced by the História & Vida Collection, of authorship of Nelson and Claudino Pilleti, adopted for students of basic education during years 1980 and 1990 in Brazil. Our objective is to perceive the presence of some types and standards in the constitution of the history narrative and identity of the Indian People in the didactic speech.
