Objective: Describe the knowledge of nursing students about drugs and the drug control policies. Method: Descriptive study with a qualitative approach, in which we applied the methodology of action research. Conducted in a University Center seventeen graduating nursing. Results: Results emerging speech showed empirical knowledge and general, constructed from information from the media or their own common sense, devoid of scientific and away from the current public policies that address this issue.
