Eine anhaltende Konfrontation wäre vor allem für die Ukraine mit unverantwortlichen Lasten verbunden. An zweiter Stelle litte Russland. Kiev, Moscow, and the West could well have maneuvered themselves into a situation in which everyone loses. There is still a chance of finding a constructive solution to the crisis that threatens to tear apart Ukraine and Europe. This opportunity must be used, for an enormous amount is at stake. A prolonged confrontation, especially for Ukraine, would be accompanied by unjustifiable burdens. Russia would be the second to suffer. And the West, too, would have to pay a far higher price than is generally supposed.... view less
