Se tiene como objetivo confirmar la estructura del Cuestionario de Calidad de Vida para Adultos Mayores en Comunidad en Coahuila, México. El muestreo fue intencional, 535 adultos mayores, 49% hombres y 51% mujeres. El instrumento contó con 104 reactivos organizados en nueve dimensiones: bienestar físico, autodeterminación, vivienda, seguridad material, participación ciudadana, bienestar emocional, relaciones interpersonales, educación, bienestar espiritual y plan de vida. Se obtuvo la consistencia interna y el análisis factorial exploratorio (afe) y confirmatorio (afc). La estructura es similar a la propuesta de Verdugo Alonso (2009) y también se puede relacionar con las categorías de Arita Watanabe (2005). Se logró una reducción de nueve a siete dimensiones y de 104 a 62 reactivos.... view less

This article corresponds to a study which aimed to confirm the structure of the Questionnaire of Quality of Life for elderly people in Community in Coahuila, Mexico. The sample was an intentional study, 535 seniors, 49% men and 51% women. The instrument contained 104 items, organized into nine dimensions: physical well-being, self-determination, housing, material security, citizen participation, emotional well-being, interpersonal relationships, education, spiritual well-being and life planning. The internal consistency and the exploratory factor analysis (afe) and confirmatory analysis (afc) were obtained. The structure is similar to the proposal of Verdugo Alonso (2009) and also may be related to the categories proposed by Arita Watanabe (2005). A reduction from nine to seven dimensions and 104-62 items was achieved.... view less
