Sicherheits- und Bedrohungsvorstellungen in Ostmitteleuropa

Abstract

'Die vorliegende Sonderveröffentlichung befaßt sich mit den Sicherheits- und Bedrohungsvorstellungen in Ostmitteleuropa, d.h. in dem Staatengürtel zwischen Estland im Norden und Ungarn sowie Slowenien im Süden. Über die südosteuropäischen Länder - und später auch über die drei ostslawischen Staaten - wird eine analoge Studie erscheinen. Es wird ein Sicherheitsbegriff zugrunde gelegt, der über das Militärische hinausgeht und daher auch allgemein-politische, gesellschaftliche, wirtschaftliche, ökologische und ähnliche Gesichtspunkte berücksichtigt. Als wichtige Perzeptionsträger werden dabei nicht nur die Führung des jeweiligen Landes, sondern auch andere politischen Kräfte angesehen, soweit sie über politischen Einfluß verfügen. Die Darstellung gliedert sich in alphabetisch angeordnete Länderstudien, die von jeweiligen Spezialisten geschrieben wurden.' (Autorenreferat)

'The present special-topic compendium deals with conceptions of security and threat in the states of East Central Europe, i.e. in a belt stretching from Estonia in the north to Hungary and Slovenia in the south. A similar study will be published on the countries of South-East Europe, to be followed by a third one on the three eastern Slavic states. The study is based on a concept of security that goes beyond military issues and thus also takes into account general political, social, economic, ecological and similar aspects. It attempts to reflect the perceptions not only of the established governments in the various countries but also of other political forces to the extent that they exercise political influence. The compendium takes the form of country-by-country studies, arranged in alphabetical order, each penned by one or more experts on the specific country.' (author's abstract)
