Abstract	'Die Vergangenheitsaufarbeitung, die von allererster Bedeutung für Rußland ist, verquickt sich mit der alten Kontroverse über die russische nationale Identität. Dieses 'Treffen' der beiden Fragen- und Themenkomplexe ist sehr weit von der Harmonie entfernt. In der Abrechnung mit dem kommunistischen Unrechtssystem sehen viele eine Gefahr gerade für die Identität, eine Art 'Nestbeschmutzung'. Im vorliegenden Bericht wird der Versuch unternommen, das Verhältnis zwischen Vergangenheitsbewältigung und Identitätsbewußtsein zu analysieren.' (Textauszug) 'Endeavours to come to terms with the past, a process of supreme importance to Russia, are blending with the age-old controversy over Russian national identity. The 'meeting' of these two complexes of issues and topics is very far removed from harmony. Many see attempts to settle the score with the communist system of injustice as a threat to their very identity, a kind of 'nest soiling'. The present report undertakes to analyse the relationship between reassesment of the past and consciousness of identity.' (extract)
