(Textauszug)... view less

'The Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) had no sooner been founded than it found itself in a difficult and ambiguous ideological situation. The failure of the old Leninist/ Stalinist theoretical model was manifest. The official dogmas of the CPSU, which had gone unchallenged for so long had been utterly discredited and were no longer able to motivate even the staunchest of communists. On the other hand, the new party was the undeniable heir to the Bolshevik party. It could not simply cast aside Marxist-Leninist doctrine. A third way had to be found. Unlike its 'brother parties' in other countries of Eastern and Central Europe, the CPRF showed no inclination to adopt social democratic ideas. The 'party cadres', drilled in the spirit of Bolshevik intransigence for over seven decades, had become intellectually just too rigid. Thus, the party began to suffer from the symptoms of a veritable ideological vacuum. All it had left was the bizarre combination of Marxist-Leninist ideas with archaic notions previously condemned as totally reactionary by the communists.' (extract)... view less
