Das 'andere Rußland': unternehmerischer Erfolg in der russischen verarbeitenden Industrie

Abstract

'Russische Unternehmen werden im Westen häufig mit 'Schattenwirtschaft' und 'Mafia' in Verbindung gebracht. Davon abgesehen weiß man, daß in Rußland mit Erdöl, Erdgas und Aluminium gute Geschäfte gemacht wurden und werden und daß Banken und Teile der Rüstungsindustrie florieren, die russische Landwirtschaft dagegen auf keinen grünen Zweig kommt. Kaum bekannt ist dagegen, daß sich seit Anfang der neunziger Jahre in Handwerk und Gewerbe eine - allerdings verhältnismäßig schmale - Schicht von 'ehrlichen' Kleinunternehmen gebildet hat, die trotz aller Widrigkeiten etwa 10 Millionen Menschen Beschäftigung bieten. Noch weniger ist über erfolgreiche mittlere und größere Unternehmungen, Unternehmerinnen und Unternehmer der Industrie außerhalb des Rohstoffsektors bekannt. Daher werden in diesem Beitrag einige Beispiele für gelungene Sanierungen bzw. Neugründungen vor allem aus den Bereichen Maschinenbau und Nahrungsmittelindustrie vorgestellt. Es werden allgemein zugängliche, als seriös anzusehende Quellen genutzt und die dort genannten Zahlenangaben übernommen.' (Textauszug)

'In the West, Russian enterprises are often associated with the 'shadow economy' and the 'Mafia'. Apart from that, it is common knowledge, that in Russia business in oil, gas and aluminium has been good and is still doing well, and that banks and parts of the arms industry are flourishing, while Russian agriculture is not getting anywhere. However, hardly anyone is aware of the fact, that since the beginning of the nineties, a number - albeit a relatively small one - of 'honest' small businesses has been developing in the crafts and trades. In spite of all problems, these businesses employ approximately 10 million people. Even less is known about successful medium and large enterprises as well as female and male industrial entrepreneurs outside the raw materials sector. Thus, examples for the successful reorganisation or new foundation of businesses, especially in mechanical engineering and the food industry, are presented in this report. The analysis is based on sources that can be regarded as reliable and that are accessible to the general public and on the statistics quoted in these sources.' (extract)
