"Die Aussiedler/innen sind die größte Zuwanderungsgruppe in Deutschland. Dennoch liegen bisher nur wenige Untersuchungen zu den Bildungsbeteiligungen allgemein und zu den Bildungsbeteiligungen beim Übergang von der Schule in den Beruf im Besonderen vor. Diese Lücke soll mit dem vorliegendem Artikel in einem ersten explorativen und eher deskriptiven Schritt anhand der Daten des DJI-Übergangspanels geschlossen werden. Fokussiert wird hierbei auf die sogenannte erste Schwelle des Übergangs von der Schule in die Ausbildung. Anhand einer Kombination von ereignisdatenanalytischen und sequenzmusteranalytischen Verfahren konnte festgestellt werden, dass Aussiedlerjugendliche zwar die schlechtesten Übergangsraten in Ausbildung direkt nach der Pflichtschulzeit haben, diese aber durch ein weiteres Jahr an einer allgemeinbildenden Schule bzw. durch die Teilnahme an einer Maßnahme des Übergangssystems überproportional steigern können." "Although ethnic German immigrants are the biggest migrant group in Germany, there is little research on their education patterns in general and on their educational participation in the transition from school to employment in particular. The following article seeks to fill this gap with a first, explorative and rather descriptive step based on data provided by the German Youth Institute transition panel. The focus rests on the so-called first threshold, the transition from school to vocational training. A combination of event history analysis and sequence pattern analysis has shown that although young ethnic German immigrants have the worst transition rates in acquiring a vocational training directly after school, they are able to disproportionately improve these by way of an additional year at a general education school or in a vocational preparation scheme."
