Die vorliegende Studie untersucht die Konflikthäufigkeit in Partnerschaften. Es werden ein einfaches Modell des Konfliktverlaufs in Partnerschaften sowie mehrere Hypothesen über die Bedingungen von Konflikten vorgestellt. Als Datenbasis dient eine Befragung von 358 Personen in Köln, wobei von 228 Personen auch die Partner befragt wurden. Die Analysen auf Paarebene ergeben, dass insbesondere der Institutionalisierungsgrad von Partnerschaften, das Konflikthandeln, Persönlichkeitsmerkmale und subjektive Belastungen durch die soziale Situation außerhalb der Partnerschaft die Konfliktintensität innerhalb der Partnerschaft beeinflussen.... view less

Our study analyses the frequency of conflict in relationships. We present a simple model of the conflict process in relationships and a number of hypotheses on the conditions leading to conflict. The data basis of our analysis is a survey among 358 persons in Cologne, including the partners of 228 of the participants. The results show that the conflict intensity depends on the degree of the institutionalisation of a relationship, conflict behavior, personal character, and the partners' social situation outside of the relationship.... view less
