should not only adjust to new situations. Furthermore they must be able to influence their
environment actively and avoid degeneration to its match-ball. The answer to this problem will be the
development of organisational competence to assure an autonomous, efficient and effective process of
decision making. Organisational competence requires flexible and dynamic organisational structures as
well as flexible and dynamically acting decision-makers. Organisational competence may be realised by
developing the organisation to a dynamic core capability in association with exercising sustainable
