%X Objective: To identify in literature and education in allied health nursing practice can facilitate the process of nursing 
care in the hospital.  Method: Integrative Review held in LILACS database. The inclusion criteria considered in full 
studies available in Portuguese, published in the last 10 years (2000 to 2010). Results: After reading and analyzing the 
articles were drawn up three thematic categories: Health education and nursing; Educating through the vertical model 
and horizontal, and the hospital. Conclusion: Knowledge can not simply be transferred, but instigated the educators in 
this case, the individual client, the real subjects are the "building and rebuilding" the educator, both inserted in the 
process of care and health education, is in the hospital or not.
