"Die problematische Beziehung zwischen den wissenschaftlichen Disziplinen 'Pädagogik' und 'Soziologie' wird in der jugendsoziologischen Forschung besonders deutlich. Vor allem von Seiten der Soziologie sind Abgrenzungsbestrebungen erkennbar, die sich gegen die normativen Prämissen der Pädagogik richten und ihr damit den Status einer empirischen Wissenschaft absprechen. In diesem Beitrag wird 'Sozialisation' als integrierende Schlüsselkategorie vorgeschlagen, und es werden konkrete Forschungsbeispiele aus jugendsoziologischen und schulpädagogischen Kontexten genannt, mit denen auch die interdisziplinäre Verwobenheit von soziologisch orientierten Erziehungswissenschaftler(inne)n deutlich wird." "The problematical relationship between education and sociology has become abundantly clear in the field of youth sociology research. Especially sociology, as a scientific discipline, tries to distinguish itself from education because sociology disapproves of the normative assumptions of education and therefore denies education the status of an empirical science. In this paper 'socialization' is proposed as an integrative key category. Some concrete examples of educational and youth sociological research are presented that clearly show how the interdisciplinary involvement of sociology-oriented educational researchers."
