%X The article deals with the investigation findings analyzing correlations between 
psycho physiological and psychological mechanisms of adaptation and the type of 
students’ behavioral response in firm and changing environmental conditions. 
Peculiarities of mechanisms of making decisions and their influence on successful 
adaptation process manifesting in foreign language achievements are revealed.
