%X This article analyses the Erasmus Mundus
programme run by the European Commission in
terms of structured cooperation between the EU
and third country universities. Special attention
is paid to the implementation of Erasmus Mundus
projects aimed at environmental protection,
biodiversity conservation, reduction in the use
of hazardous substances, and the improvement
of the attractiveness of the region.
