(Autorenreferat)... view less

'This contribution deals with the recognition of child-raising years in pension legislation and examines the question of whether it is possible to distinguish party-specific policies in this political field. For this purpose, an analytic scale was developed to distinguish between conservative and progressive positions. The development of the recognition of child-raising years in Austria is presented as a case example. It is clear from the markedly oscillating development of the Austrian pension plan that the positions taken by party-politics were subject to transformation over time and under changing constellations of governments. The sociocultural context as well as economic conditions had significant influence on party policy.' (author's abstract)... view less
