'The episodic character of juvenile delinquency and the importance of the peer group in this context are empirically verified but remain theoretically poorly explained. In the framework of a detailled empirical analysis of the adolescent development of young workers under conditions of milieu-specific desintegration the importance of collective actionism has been worked out in its function for seeking new forms of community or 'habitual concordance'. This on base of an intensive empirical case analysis of groups of Hooligans, compared with rockbands and other groups from the eastern part of Berlin.' (author's abstract)|... view less
