| Abstract | "Der Beitrag zeigt anhand eines Vergleiches von Belarus und Polen, welche Faktoren für einen erfolgreichen Reformprozess von Bedeutung sind und warum infolgedessen einige Transformationsländer trotz weitgehend ähnlicher Ausgangsbedingungen wesentlich erfolgreicher diesen Prozess meistern als andere. Vier Faktoren erweisen sich als relevant: nationale Identität, Elitenwechsel, marktwirtschaftliche Mentalität sowie internationale Verflechtung." (Autorenreferat) "Comparing Belarus and Poland the article demonstrates which factors are of importance for a successful process of reform and consequently why some countries are more successful than others in coping with this process in spite of similar starting conditions. Four factors have proved as relevant: national identity, market mentality, change of elite, and international integration." (author's abstract) |
