Playing teacher: artful negotiations in the pre-service classroom

Abstract

In diesem Beitrag kommen kunstbasierte Analysestrategien zum Einsatz, um die subjektive Involviertheit von Lehramtsstudent/innen in ihren künftigen Beruf nachzuvollziehen. Rückgreifend auf poststrukturalistische Positionen werden idealisierende Repräsentationen des Lehrberufs aufseiten der Studierenden reflektiert und Möglichkeiten kritischer und kunstbasierter Auseinandersetzungen in der Lehrer/innenausbildung thematisiert. Individuelle Stimmen und unterschiedliche Genres werden dabei ineinander verwoben, um die Komplexität des Selbstausdrucks werdender Lehrer/innen zu illustrieren und Freiräume für Dialog und Interpretation kenntlich zu machen.

In this paper, the author draws on poetic analysis and artful inquiry to explore the ways in which pre-service teachers perform their subjectivities. Using a poststructuralist lens, the author seeks to complicate often idealized (re)presentations of Teacher created by students within the courses she teaches while considering the possibilities of engaging critical and artful inquiry in teacher education. Voices and genres intersect throughout the text as a means to illustrate the complex nature of performing self within the work be(com)ing Teacher, while offering space for dialogue and diverse interpretation.

En este articulo, el autor se basa en un análisis poético y una ingeniosa investigación para explorar las maneras en que los maestros de pre-servicio ejecutan sus subjetividades. Usando una mirada posestructuralista, el autor busca las complicadas y a menudo idealizadas (re)presentaciones de la Maestra creadas por los estudiantes dentro de los cursos en los que ella enseña, al considerar las posibilidades de involucrar la investigación crítica y artística en la formación docente. Voces y géneros se entrelazan a través del texto como un medio para ilustrar la naturaleza compleja de la auto ejecución dentro del trabajo de convertirse (ser) Maestra, al ofrecer espacio para el dialogo y diferente interpretación.
