Abstract	'Der Beitrag beschreibt verschiedene explorative Verfahren zur Überprüfung der funktionalen Äquivalenz eines gemeinsamen Satzes von Items in der interkulturell vergleichenden Sozialforschung, und zwar sowohl im Hinblick auf interne (Struktur der Indikatoren untereinander in den verschiedenen Ländern) als auch externe Konsistenz (Beziehungen zu Kriteriumsvariablen). Dabei wird der Einsatz verschiedener statistischer Verfahren illustriert.' (Autorenreferat) 'This paper deals with different explorative procedures for the assessment of functional equivalence of a common set of items in interculturally comparative research, both with regard to internal (structure among indicators in different countries) and external consistency (relationships with criterion variables).
