Abstract 'Das weltumspannende Hypertextsystem World Wide Web bietet als Teil des Internets neben multimedialer Ausstattung in Form farbiger Bilder und klanglichem Beiwerk leistungsfähige neue Recherchemöglichkeiten, um an Informationen zu gelangen. Darüber hinaus avanciert das Internet aufgrund seiner rasanten Entwicklung zum sozialwissenschaftlichen Forschungsobjekt. Mit diesem Artikel wird ein nicht nur soziologischer Blick auf effiziente Verwendung im wissenschaftlichen Alltag geworfen.' (Autorenreferat)
