Abstract Article examines regional innovation strategies and their relationships in building regional reputation. The article studies, whether it is possible for a region to build its reputation as an innovative milieu squeezed in-between the large urban regions with universities, and how such a reputation can further be enhanced. At the same time, an opinion is given in this article, as to how the concept of reputation can be adapted in the framework of cities' image or attraction factors.
