"Die Arbeitszeitflexibilisierung ist in der jüngeren Zeit zunehmend in den Mittelpunkt der öffentlichen Debatte gerückt und bildet einen Schwerpunkt im Handeln der betrieblichen Akteure. In dieser Arbeit wird der Forschungsstand zu den Formen und der Verbreitung flexibler Arbeitszeiten zusammengetragen und systematisiert. Anknüpfend daran werden die Befunde zu den Folgewirkungen auf die Lebensführung und Alltagsgestaltung der Beschäftigten dokumentiert und resümiert. Die Forschungsresultate zur Flexibilisierung und ihren Folgewirkungen werden in einen Rahmen der längerfristigen Entwicklung gesellschaftlicher Zeitarrangements gestellt und insbesondere auf die Frage hin diskutiert, ob in der gegenwärtigen Phase die Schnittstellen zwischen Erwerbsarbeit und privatem Leben durch die Flexibilisierung neu konturiert werden." "Since the 1990s, flexibilisation of working times has become a central topic in the public debate and has formed a core element for the actors of labour-policy. This paper collects the results of research an the forms and the varieties of working-time flexibilisation and their effects an everyday life of workers. In a main focus the paper discusses the long-term development of the borders between industrial work and daily life that had been built by working-time standardisation, and the actual changes of this bounds and their new perforations, caused by flexibilisation of work."
