Abstract O artigo discute o ensino como processo de comunicação, partindo da constatação da importância do papel das tecnologias da educação e comunicação na sociedade atual. Aponta a necessidade da escola enfrentar e utilizar tais recursos da cultura midiatica, pois já estão presentes na vida de alunos e professores. Detém-se a pensar também na relação entre professor e aluno não mais como mero transmissor de informação, mas sim como criadores e produtores de mensagens. Destaca um modelo crítico e participativo para a inserção da tecnologia educativa na escola.

The article discusses the education how the process of communication, throught the evidence of the importance of the role of the technologies from the education and communication in the present society. Show the necessity of the school face and use the culture resorts of the media, because they are presents in the students and professors' life. It takes to think also in the relationship between professor and student not like a simple way of transmission of information, but as creators and translators of messages. It detaches a critical and participative model to the insertion of educational technology in the school.
