Digitale Medien sind für Kinder und Eltern in geflüchteten Familien allgegenwärtig. Anknüpfend an den Doing Family-Ansatz untersucht dieser Beitrag, wie Kinder und Eltern im Kontext von Flucht und Asyl mit und durch digitale(n) Medien Familie gestalten und welche Bedeutung diese für Familienerziehung haben. Anhand von Daten einer qualitativ-ethnographischen Studie mit Familien aus Somalia wird die Herstellung von Familie als Prozess lokaler und transnationaler sowie analoger und digitaler Verflechtung verdeutlicht. Digital media are omnipresent for children and parents in refugee families. Drawing on the ‘doing family’ approach, this article examines how children and parents in the context of flight and asylum shape family with and through digital media and what significance these have for family education. Using data from a qualitative-ethnographic study with families from Somalia, the production of family as a process of local and transnational as well as analogue and digital interdependence is shown.
