'Bei diesem Beitrag handelt es sich um das Transkript eines Vortrags im Rahmen eines Seminars zur sozialwissenschaftlichen Archivierung für Sozialhistoriker(innen), der gemeinsam vom Economic and Social Data Service (ESDS) und vom Institute of Historical Research (IHR) der University of London am 25. November 2003 im IHR organisiert wurde. Beschrieben werden die Erfahrungen des Autors mit seinen Forschungsarbeiten zur Sozialgeschichte in Großbritannien zwischen 1945 und 1979, wobei Daten und Dokumente einiger klassischer soziologischer Studien zur Veranschaulichung hinzugezogen werden, die von ESDS Qualidata (University of Essex) archiviert worden sind.' 'This paper was transcribed from a talk presented by David Kynaston at a seminar on Social Science Data Archives for Social Historians: creating, depositing and using qualitative data, organised jointly by the Economic and Social Data Service (ESDS) and the Institute of Historical Research (IHR), held at the Institute of Historical Research, University of London on 25 November 2003.
